Pada awal tahun 2012, cikgu akan menguruskan satu pusat pembelajaran Fizik yang akan dikenali dengan nama berikut :

Pusat ini akan dibuka di Pasir Pekan , Wakaf Bharu, Kelantan.

Pusat diuruskan oleh cikgu EYU , seorang Guru Super Fizik, Gred JUSA C , Kementerian pelajaran malaysia( telah bersara wajib) . Semua fasilitator pusat ini terdiri daripada guru-guru cemerlang / sumber yang cukup berpengelaman dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran dan hal-hal berkaitan peperiksaan dan pentaksiran .

Pusat ini akan menawarkan beberapa perkhidmatan kepada sekolah-sekolah, guru-guru dan pelajar-pelajar seperti berikut :

1. memberi seminar/ workshop kepada pelajar-pelajar sekolah dari sekolah-sekolah yang

memerlukannya.

2. menawarkan khidmat pakar runding untuk JPN, PPD dan sekolah-sekolah bantuan kerajaan dan juga sekolah-sekolah lain yang memerlukannya.

3. menerbitkan modul-modul pengajaran dan pembelajaran dan power-point untuk

pengajaran dan pembelajaran disekolah.

4. menyediakan soalan-soalan ujian diagnostik , peperiksaan mengikut kehendak guru-guru

mengikut kebolehan pelajar .

4. menyediakan bahan-bahan bantuan pembelajaran kepada sekolah-sekolah yang berminat.

5. menyediakan kursus-kursus untuk guru-guru baru dan lama .

6. menawarkan Kelas Pembelajaran Berkesan secara berkumpulan kecil ( ala tuisyen ) tetapi pendekatan P & P berbeza .Konsep agak berlainan. Kelas-kelas bagi tingkatan 4 dan 5 .

7. membuka Kelas Pembelajaran Berkesan seperti kelas-kelas pemulihan , kelas pengkayaan

bagi pelajar-pelajar .

8. memberi perkhidmatan on site ke sekolah-sekolah dalam hal-hal berkaitan Fizik seperti

persediaan makmal , pembekalan bahan-bahan radas , pemasangan alat-alat dan lain-lain.

7. menawarkan kelas-kelas pembelajaran intensif kepada para pelajar yang berminat.

8. menawarkan satu pusat pembelajaran Fizik yang dilengkapi dengan teknologi terkini ,

bahan-bahan pembelajaran yang pelbagai, buku-buku rujukan , risalah, makalah , majalah

dan lain-lain bahan terbitan cikgu Eyu dan guru-guru cemerlang .

9. menawarkan perkhidmatan pakar runding Fizik untuk semua sekolah di Kelantan dan juga

negeri-negeri lain.

Pusat ini mengamalkan konsep Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Berkesan yang bertujuan untuk meningkat keyakinan pelajar , pemahaman, meningkatkan kemahiran dalam mengkonsepsi konsep-konsep, menyelesaikan masalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif , membuat pengubahsuai, membuat keputusan dan seterusnya dapat menjawab soalan-soalan peperiksaan dengan baik.

Teknik dan tektik menjawab soalan SPM juga diberi penekanan.

Secara amnya , pusat ini menawarkan perkhidmatan sebagai ONE_STOP CENTRE in Physics .

Cikgu perturunkan bab-bab atau konsep-kosnep yang perlu diberi perhatian , nak kata topik-topik ramalan pun bolehlah, harapnya apa yang cikgu berikan ini para pelajar jadikan panduan untuk mengulangkaji dalam persediaan menghadapi SPM Fizik . Form 5 Physics : Interference of Light

The diagrams above show the interference fringes ( bright and dark ) using monochromatic light sources such as red and blue.

Observation :

1. The bright fringes and dark fringes are alternating .
2. The bright fringes are due to constructive interferences.
3. The dark fringes are due to destructive interferences.
4. The red fringes are broader than the blue fringes and vice versa.
5. The distance between the bright fringes , x , for red light is larger than blue light.
because the wavelength of red light is longer than the wavelength of blue light.

The spectrum of visible light is Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet
Red has the longest wavelength and blue light has the shortest wavelength.

Analysing motion using Tape Chart :
The tape chart above shows the motion of an object. The frequency of the ticker timer is 50 Hz. Each strip consists of 10 ticks.
(a) Calculate the initial average velocity
(b) Calculate the final average velocity
(c) Calculate the acceleration .

Definitions of concepts :
Speed is rate of change of distance .
Velocity is the rate of change of displacement.
Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

Uniform speed : An object moves with unirom speed means the speed of the object is constant . There is no increase or decrease in the speed.

Uniform velocity: An object moves with uniform velocity means the velocity of the object is constant , that is there is no change in the velocity. There is no increase or decrease in velocity.

For example : a motocycle moves with a velocity of 5 m per second throughout the journey.

Uniform increase in Velocity ( velocity increases uniformly ) : An object moves with uniform increase in velocity means the velocity increases uniformly in the same interval of time.
For example :
A car moving at 10 m per second , after one second the velocity increses to 20 m per second, after another one second the velocity is 30 m per esecond and so on, this means for every one second, the velocity increases by 10 m per second.

For uniform velocity : The acceleration is zero.
For uniform increased in velocity : The acceleration is constant.

Form 5 Physics : SONAR

SONAR - is sound navigation ranging. Using of ultrasonic sound waves to measure depth of ocean, to measure the depth of shaol of fish, depth of submarine , it involves the reflection ( echoes) of sound waves of very high frequency above 20 000 Hz.

The time , t , taken for the waves to travel to the seabed and is reflected back is recorded.

The depth , d, is calculated using the equation, d = tv/ 2. where v is the velocity of ultrasonic sound waves in water.

Ultrasound is an application of ultrasonic sound waves to examine the position of feotus in a womb of a pregnant mother.

So, do not confuse yourself between SONAR and ultrasound.

It is wrong to say SONAR uses ultrasound.

SONAR uses ultrasonic sound waves is correct.

Form Four Physics : Straight line equation

The equation for a straight line is given y = mx + c

y is the variable for the vertical axis .( Normally in mathematics , it is called the y axis )
x is the variable for the horizontal axis.( in mathematics , it is called the x -axis )
m is known as the gradient of the line ( can be positive, zero or negative value )
c is the point of interception on the vertical axis ( can take positive , zero or negative value ).

The gradient , m = change in vertical values divided by the change in the horizontal values.

For example :

If the change of vertical value is 10 and the change in the horizontal value is 2 , then the gradient is 10/ 2 = 5.0

for example , a linear equation is y = 5 x + 8

The gradient is 5 and the point of interception is 8.

Example : a straight line has a gradient of 2 and point of interception is 3 .

the equation is y = mx + c is y = 2 x + 3

Analogies for longitudinal waves and transverse waves

Longitudinal waves : Vibrations of the particles are in the same direction// parallel to the direction of propagation .

Analogy for longitudinal waves :
Imagine using a rifle , when a shot is fired the bullet and the recoil of the gun are in the same direction.

Transverse waves : Vibrations of the particles are perpendicular to the direction of propagation .

Analogy for tranverse waves :
Imagine using a riffle , when a shot is fired , the bullet casing travels out of the gun at right angle to the barrel. Therefore the vibration of gun is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the casing

Waves phenomena :

Reflection : waves are reflected by obstacles ( reflectors ). It obeys law of reflection .The angle of incidence = angle of reflection. The direction changes but the wavelength, speed and frequency is unchanged.

Refraction : waves are refracted when they propagate through water of varying depth.
For eample deep and shallow water. The velocity of the waves is slower in shallow area and vice versa. The direction of the waves changes , it is refracted towards the normal line in shallow areas. The wavelength is shorter in shallow areas. However the frequency of the waves is unchanged.

Diffraction : Spreading of waves around corners or gap. The smaller the gap , the larger the diffraction patterns. The size of the gap must be smaller or of about the size of the wavelength of waves for greater diffraction. Direction of the waves at the sides changes but the wavelength, speed, and frequency remain constant.

Interference : Overlapping of two coherent waves to produce regions of larger amplitudes and zero amplitudes. It obeys the principle of superposition.

a + a = 2 a or -a + -a = -2a ( constructive interference )
+a -a = 0 ( destructive interference )

crest + crest gives rise to larger crest. ( Constructive interference )
trough + trough gives rise to larger trough ( constructive interference )
crest + trough will cancel each other and produces zero amplitude. (Destructive interference )

Antinodes : Points where constructive interferences occur.
Nodes : points where destructive interferences occurs.

Some time , it is rather difficult to remember nodes and antinodes but just remember this way.

For nodes , remember the word no means no amplitude , which indicates destuctive.
Anti means the opposite of no amplitude which means has amplitudes.

The Ujian PKBS 1 will be held in Early March for the Kelantan state . This is organised by the JPN Kelantan and the PKPSM cawangan Kelantan. For physics form 4 , there will be one paper test . The time allocation for the test is 2 1/2 hours. The paper consists of three sections , that is Section A , B and C . Students are required to answer all the questions .

Section B : 5 structured questions : 40 marks
Section C : 2 structured questions ( scientific investigation method ) : 30 marks.

To remember the five base quantities , you can use the acronym : M.E.L.T.T.
which stands for

M for mass
E for electric current
L for length
T for time
T for temperature

Physics makes easy using coined acronym. Ha, ha,

Remember : In physics we use symbols.
Do not confuse yourself between quantity symbols and unit symbols.

For example , mass, m is 5.0 kg , m is quantity symbol for mass.
For example , length , l is 10.0 m , whereas here m is unit symbol for meter.

Do not confuse between quantity and magnitude (value). A physics quantity has magnitude (value) and also most of them have units .
For example :

The mass of an object, m, is 50 kg .

Which one is the physics quantity ?
Which one is the quantity symbol?
What is the magnitude or value ?
What is the unit symbol?

Answers :

Physics quantity is mass.
Quantity symbol is m .

Happy New Year 2010 to all.

Sorry for being inactive for some time due to other commitments towards the end of last year ( 2009 ).

On 15. Dec. 2009, I received the TORAY Science Eduaction Award ( Winner ), organised by Malaysia Toray Science Foundation. Thanks to my College ( Maktab Sultan Ismail ), JPN Kelantan , my friends and the organiser as well as MOE. Attached is a photo of myself delivering a speech during the Award Ceremony. I was given the honour to present a speech on behalf of the award recipients ]

Experimenting with simple mercury barometer

This picture was taken during an activity in the laboratory to determine the atmospheric pressure using a simple mercury barometer. A glass tube of length 1.0 m is held with one end in a bottle of mercury and the top end is connected tightly to a rubber tubing which is connected to a vacuum pump.
(a) The vacuum pump is switched on, the air in the tube is pumped out and this creates a vacuum in the tube.
(b) the atmospheric pressure pushes on the mercury and causes the mercury to fill up the tube to a height of 75.5 cm.(as shown in the photo ). Note : the silvery liquid in the glass tube is mercury.

This activity is an alternative activity to the activity suggested in the text-book.
Note : mercury vapour is toxic , be careful.

Generator verses Motor

Some times students are confused by the working principles of dynamo and motor.

In order to remember them, students can use the following words :

FBI for dynamo which stands for , F for force, B for magnetic fields and I for the induced current. It means that if there is a force that moves a conductor in a magnetic field then there is an induced current produced . The end product is current, this is the working principle of a generator.

This can also be explained by cause and effect process
The cause is the cutting of magnetic fileds by the conductor.
The effect is the generation of the current.
The law is the Faraday's law and lenz law.

The reverse is IBF for motor . I means current flows, B for magnetic fields and F for force that produces the motion. It means that if there is a current flowing through a conductor in a magnetic field , then a force or motion is produced. The end product is motion, so it is a motor .

The cause is the flow of current in the magnetic fields.
The effect is the generation of motion ( rotation ).
The concept is the formation of catapult fileds.

Another way is to relate the word motor to motion. or the word motor also can relate to moving and the letter r to mean rotation.

The word BINA can be associated with the magnitude of the force produced which depends on magnetic field, B, current,I , number of turns , N, and the area of the armature , A.

Many other words or acronym can be used in physics to remember Physics concepts and others.

Transmission of Electricity

Transmission of electricity is from power station to the consumers. The big generator at the power station normally generates about 25 000 V of potential difference. The a.c voltage is stepped up to 132 kV using a step-up transformer. High transmission voltage is used because it causes the current in the cables to be reduced, thus very little energy is lost to heat in the cable. Therefore the energy transmission is more efficient. The high voltage will be stepped-down in stages for examples from 132kV to 33 Kv to 11 Kv and then 240V . The process is carried out by step-down transformers.

PRESSURE OF LIQUID

For the physics lesson today, students of 4 Alpha did the experiment on liquid pressure .

The aim of the experiment was to investigate the relationship between pressure , P, and depth of water, h.
Inference : The pressure of water depends on its depth.
Hypothesis : When the depth increases then the pressure also increases.

The apparatus consisted of thistle funnel with a rubber membrane, rubber tubing , manometer, tall cylinder, coloured and water, retort stand and clamps and half-meter rule.

The variable are :
Manipulated : The depth, h
Responding : The pressure of water, P
Constant variable : the density of water.

The graph of pressure against the depth was plotted and it shows a straight line passing through the origin.

Conclusion : The pressure , P , of a liquid is directly proportional to its depth.

How does itwork ? :Some ideas to share with physics teachers
At a certain depth, the water pressure pushes the rubber membrane inwards. This causes the air in the thistle funnel and tube to be compressed a little . Thus the air pressure in the tube increases and causes the water levels in the manometer to increase at the open end. If the rubber membrane is elastic enough then ideally , at a depth of 5.0 cm, we would expect a difference in water levels of 5.0 cm , but in actual situation, the observed reading of the difference in water levels is less than 5.0 cm. It depends on how hard and thick is the rubber membrane.

Electromagnetic induction

The photograph shows a bar magnet, a copper coil and a galvanometer.
When the bar magnet is inserted into the coil and pulled out, the pointer of the galvanometer will be deflected to the right and left. This is due to the induced current produced which changes direction. The videod activities could not be uploaded due to some technical problems.

Experiment :

Aim : To find the relationship between the acceleration of an object and the applied force.
It is rather hard to get a friction compensated runway, normally, we tend to get over compensated runway. This means that the graph of acceleration against the force applied shows a straight line which does not pass through the origin. There is a positive intercept. This means the acceleration of the object due to component of weight of object .

In order to get the correct acceleration , we needs to find the acceleration due to the force = the acceleration calculated minus the magnitude of the intercept.

Electric motor : An electric motor converts electrical energy to mechanical energy.
How does it works ?
1. A current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field will experience a force .
2. The direction of the force can be determined by using the Fleming Left Hand Rule.
3. The overlapping of the permanent magnetic field with the magnetic field produced by the current flowing through a wire give rise to an unbalanced field ( non-uniform) called " The catapult field ".
4. In a catapult field, a force will be produced acting from a stronger field to a weaker field .

Principle of conservation of energy

The principle of conservation of energy states that in an isolated system, the total energy is constant. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but is can be transformed from one type to the other.
For example :
A coconut on a tree has gravitational potential energy(P.E) which is maximum and kinetic energy is zero at the highest point where it hangs, When it falls, the P.E is transformed into kinetic energy( K.E) . There is a decrease of potential energy as it falls but there is an increase of kinetic energy. At mid way, the P.E = K. E. However, before it touches the ground, the P.E has been fully converted to K.E. So before touching the ground, the P.E of the coconut has been transformed into maximum K.E.

This group of students did the experiment and then calculated g = ( V-U)/t and the value is 9.00 m per sec per sec. The value obtained is quite close to the theoretical value of 9.8 m per sec per sec. Experiment - To find the acceleration due to gravity in the laboratory

Experimental procedure :

1. Hang a slotted mass of 150g which is attached to a ticker tape that passes through a ticker -timer of frequency 50 Hz.

2. The height of release recommended is h = 1.5 m

3. Switch on the ticker-timer and release the mass so that it falls freely.

4. Analyse the tape chart to determine the initial velocity ,u, and the final velocity, v.

5. Calculate g = (v-u)/t . Analysis of tape chart for a 10 tick length , the time is 0.2 s.

To calculate the initial velocity, u = length of 10-tick length of the first strip divided by 0.2 s.

For the final velocity, v = length of the fifth -strip divided by 0.2 s.

The time taken, t for the velocity changed is ( 5-1 ) x 0.2 s = 4 x 0.2 s = 0.8 s.

The experimental result shows that the calculated value of g = 8.37 m per second per second.

the experiment result is smaller than the theoretical value of g = 9.8 m per second per second.

The reasons for the differences are :

1. the mass is not falling freely due to frictional forces opposing motion and the hitting of the ticker -timer on the tape which caused the mass to slow down a little bit.

Note : The acceleration due to gravity , g , is constant . The value of g does not depend on the mass of the object. Big and small masses will fall with the same gravitational acceleration ,i.e 9.8 m per second per second.

What is the function of the instrument shown ?

This instrument is used to determine the S.W.G. number of a wire. For example a copper wire S.W.G 28 .

To determine the thickness (diameter ) of a wire, the wire is fixed through any one of the openings. The opening that exactly fixes the wire is the thickness of the wire. For instance, a wire that fixes exactly into no. 30 , then the S.W.G 30. A small SWG number indicates a thick wire whereas a large SWG number indicates a thin wire. Wire of SWG 20 has a cross-sectional area larger than a wire of SWG 30.

Types of energy : gravitational potential energy , elastic potential energy, kinetic energy, electrical energy, heat energy etc. Unit of energy is joule ( J).

Work done , W is the product of force, F , and displacement , s.
W = F x s , unit of work is joule(J).

Definition :

1. Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by a moving object. An object of mass, m , moving with a velocity , v , has kinetic energy K. E = 1/2 m v x v .
2. Potential energy is the energy possessed by an object due to its position above the Earth's surface. P.E = mgh
3. Elastic potential energy is the energy possessed by an obejct due to its state . E.g being compress or extended .

State the Principle of Conservation of Energy. The total energy in a system is constant, energy cannot be created or destroyed . Total initial energy = Total Final energy.

Any object above the surface of the Earth will fall towards the surface of the earth. This is due to gravitational attraction.

the gravitational attraction depends on the mass of the object and the distance from the centre of the earth. The larger the mass, the larger the force of attraction . The larger the distance from the centre of the Earth, the weaker the force of attraction.
Gravitational field is a region outside the earth where gravitational force is experienced by an object.
Outside the gravitational field , there is no gravitational force
Gravitational filed strength is defined as Force of attraction per unit mass. Its unit is N / kg. On the surface of the Earth, its value is 9.8 N/kg.
Gravitational acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity of an object placed in a gravitational field. Its unit is meter per second per second. On the surface of the Earth, its value is 9.8 meter per second per second. On the moon its value is 1.6 m/s/s ( This is due to the smaller mass of the moon ).
Free fall means falling with the acceleration due to gravity. There is no other forces acting on the object except the force of gravity.
Weight of an object = mass x acceleration due to gravity , W = mg.
Mass is the quantity of matter in object and is constant whereas weight depends on the gravitational field strength, it varies .

Example :

A sky diver jumps down from an aeroplane, initially its acceleration is 9.8 m/s/s , however when the parachute opens, the diver is falling with uniform velocity ( zero acceleration ) .This is due to the air resistance acting upwards is balanced by the weight. In this case , the sky diver experiences free fall at the beginning but when the parachute opens , the fall is no longer considered as free falling because its acceleration is zero.

The normal misconception :

When a big spherical steel ball and a small spherical steel ball is held at the same height and released, many students will say that the big spherical ball will reach the surface of the earth faster than the the small ball. This is wrong.

The big and the small spherical ball with reach the surface of the earth at the same time. For cases where the air resistance is significant for examples comparing the fall of a big spherical ball and a piece of paper (or feather ) , then the big spherical steel ball will reach the earth faster than the feather. But in vacuum, both the big spherical steel ball and the feather will reach the earth at the same time.

Electromotive Force (e.m.f ) and Internal resistance , r.

The maximum energy per coulomb that can be supplied by an energy source e.g a dry cell is known as the electromotive force. The reading of the voltmeter across the terminals when no current is flowing . But, when the dry cell is used to light up a bulb, the current is flowing in the external circuit, the voltmeter reading across the terminals decreases. For example, when no current flows, the volmeter reading say, 1.5 V ,when the dry cell lights up a bulb, the volmeter reading is 1.4 V. The lost of potential difference is due to internal resistance. Energy is used to overcome the resistance of the electrolyte in the dry cells.

Answers :
(a) The four factors are : length, thickness ( Cross-sectional area ), material of wire and temperature.

(b) Conductors can be categorised as pure metal conductor (e.g copper wire ), alloy ( e.g constantan wire ) and semiconductor ( e.g diode , thermistor etc).

The effect of temperature on the conductor depends on the type of the conductor.
Resistance of a pure conductor increases with temperature. The resistance increases as the temperature of the copper wire increases.

But for constantan wire, its resistance is constant, the temperature does not affect the resistance of an alloy.

For semiconductor materials, its resistance decreases as temperature increases. The resistance is low at high temperature ( when hot ).

(c) Resistance is directly proportional to length. The longer the length , the larger the resisitance.
Resistance is inversely proportional to cross-sectional area . Thin wire has large resistance as compared to thick wire.
(c) Resistance depends on the type of material. Copper wire has low resistance as compared to nichrome wire.

A voltmeter is used to measure the potential difference, V, between two points in a circuit. It has large resistance and is connected parallel to the points. The unit of potential difference is volt (V). 1 V = 1 J per coulomb.

It can be stated as 1.1 A or 1.2 A. It is wrong to state 1.19 A because the smallest division is 0.1 A. The accuracy of the reading has to be one decimal place only.

What is the function of a strip of mirror in the ammeter ?
The purpose of the mirror is to allow the observer to use the non-parallax method in taking the reading. This is done by looking perpendicularly to the scale where the pointer and the image of the pointer overlaps.

1. Impulsive force is defined as a force that acts for a short interval of time.
Large Impulsive forces can be useful and also harmful.
In playing a game of football, large impulsive force is useful.

Safety Features in Vehicles :

3. Automatic air bag
Acts a cushion to the head and body in an accident and thus prevent injuries to the driver and passengers. It also Increases the time interval of collision so that the impulsive force produced during impact is reduced.

4. Shatter –proof windscreen
Prevents the wind screen from shattering and produce shape edges that can injure the driver and passengers.

5. Crumple zone for the bonnet and boot
Increases the time interval of impact so that the resultant impulsive force is reduced. Prevents driver and passengers from injuries.

6.Headrest
To push the driver’s head so as to move together with the rest of the body when a stationary car is knocked from behind and pushed forward suddenly. This will prevent injury to the neck.

7. Safety seat belts
Prevent the passenger from being thrown forward and out of the car due to inertia during collisions. It slows down the forward movement of the passenger and driver when the car stops suddenly.

8. Strong steel struts
Strong steel struts are made for the passengers compartment. It prevents the collapses of the front and back of the car into the passenger compartment, it give protection from side collision.

Water rocket propulsion

This photograph shows students are preparing to launch their water rocket by pumping air into the rocket made from bicarbonate bottle. My laboratory attendent is looking on very seriously to ensure all the safety rules are being adhered to.

This activity is good for the students to understand momentum and the principle of conservation of linear momentum which states that the total momentum backward is equal to the total momentum forward . The total momentum in a system is constant. The high pressure of air in the bottle will push out the water out at high velocity backward and produces a very high momentum backward. Simultaneously, an equivalent large momentum is produced in the forward direction and this trusts the rocket up to the sky .

This photograph shows the flight of a parachute. This happens when the rocket has reached it's maximum altitude . From this activity , we can also teach the effect of drag . For example the diameter of the parachute and the effect on the air resistance.

There will be a workshop regarding MY Physics Waves Story at SMK Kedai Buloh at 8.30 am today ( 28.3.2009).This workshop cum action research is organised by Cik Che Zakiah , Penolong PPD (maths and Science ), PPD , K.B. about 60 students will be attending this workshop which will be held at SMK Kedai Buloh. About 10 physics teachers will also attend this workshop. The objectives of this workshop are (a) to introduce My Waves Kits to teachers and students, (b) to do a survey , (c) to monitor a pre-test and post-test on the students. The outcomes of today's workshop will be posted later. The workshop and action research will be handled by me with the cooperation from all .

Gambar disebelah menunjukkan pola interferens gelombang air yang dirakamkan menggunakan kamera digital . Interferens gelombang air yang digambarkan menunjukkan dengan agak jelas garisan nod dan antinod. Antinod ialah titik di mana puncak gelombang dari sumber A bertindih dengan puncak gelombang dari sumber B dan menghasilkan amplitud getaran yang lebih besar ( atau 2 kali amplitud asal ). Ini dinamakan interferens membina ( contsructive interference ). Manakala titik nod ialah titik pertemuan satu puncak dengan jurang dan menghasilkan amplitud paduan sifar . Ini dinamakan interferens memusnah ( destructive interference ).

Video ini dirakamkan pada bulan Disember 2008 dari tingkat 6 Hotel Primula, Kuala Terengganu . Tujuan rakaman dibuat ialah sebagai bahan kontekstual untuk P & P. Gambar menunjukkan benteng penahan ombak (Retaining wall ) dengan satu celah dibina untuk bot-bot keluar dan masuk ke pelabuhan.

Bandingkan saiz , amplitud dan tenaga ombak diluar dan di bahagian dalam benteng ini . Gunakan konsep fizik berkaitan dengan gelombang, terangkan struktur benteng, saiz celahan, tenaga dan amplitud ombak di luar benteng ( bahagian laut ) dan bahagian dalam benteng( bahagian pelabuhan ).

Terima kasih kepada semua pelajar yang terlibat dengan kajian . Kami akan mempersembahkan inovasi di peringkat pertandingan negeri pada 26.2.2009 di PSPN. Semoga kita semua berjaya.

Saya bersama beberapa orang pelajar semasa pemantauan Guru Inovatif Peringkat kebangsaan tahun 2007. Johan peringkat Negeri Kelantan dan kedudukan tempat ke empat peringkat kebangsaan. Namum , penyertaan dalam pertandingan banyak memberi pengalaman kepada saya.
